On 29 September 2018, ‘World Wide Web' inventor Tim Berners-Lee announced in his blog the launch of the WWW V2.0 - "Solid, an open-source project to restore the power and agency of individuals on the web", guided by Tim through his new company Inrupt, which "will be the infrastructure allowing Solid to flourish".
