It may be frustrating for customers - and their advisers - to be unable to read more into the sale of a platform that may well hold a lifetime's savings, but the reticence on the part of Interactive Investor (ii) since this morning's announcement to even touch on future plans is just one example of the platform sector's preference to keep things under wraps - pardon the pun - more generally. Aviva, for all the issues and inconvenience its platform caused through its re-platforming, was relatively open and happy to discuss what was wrong - and even put people in journalists' firing line. ...
