At a challenging time for both bonds and equities, investors need to find alternative asset classes to mimic their characteristics within a portfolio, says Cazenove Capital's Nick Georgiadis in this video interview.

Speaking to Professional Adviser editor Julian Marr in the above video, head of discretionary fund management Georgiadis argues a multi-asset approach to investment should prove beneficial as the 35-year bond bull run draws to a close and the environment becomes more challenging for the asset class. "If we move into an environment where interest rates are rising a little more aggressively than markets had perhaps expected, bonds can begin to suffer quite noticeably in portfolios," he warns.
