Well it seems that Alternatively Secured Pensions (ASP) are beginning to surface again, as the industry continues to struggle with unclear legislation and conflicting opinions.
The Association of Member-Directed Pension Schemes (AMPs) has issued a statement saying it has grave concerns over the Financial Services Authority’s (FSA) new requirement asking advisers to enquire into the religious background of consumers and to take account of the answers before advising them on ASP as part of the suitability requirements.
