Retirees need regular reassurance that their spending is on track, according to research, with only four in ten believing they are using the right amount of their pension savings.

A study by Wealthtime, an adviser platform business, found widespread uncertainty about how much can be sustainably spent in retirement to make sure the money lasts while enjoying life. Taking advice provides valuable reassurance about spending behaviour, but the data suggested even then the positive effects were only temporary, pointing to the need for regular reviews.
