Employers and advisers are placing increased emphasis on retirement support when assessing workplace pension providers, research from People’s Pension finds.
The defined contribution master trust's survey of 200 independent financial advisers (IFAs) weighted to be nationally representative – conducted by Opinium Research last month – showed almost two-thirds (64%) believed workplace pension providers looked too similar. People's Pension said this indicates "considerable" scope for providers to differentiate themselves, as almost half (48%) of the respondents stated retirement support is becoming the "key differentiator" between providers.
