My Pension Expert’s private equity backer Palatine has sold the firm to Valeas Capital Partners in a deal that is expected to complete by the end of the year after a four-year partnership.
Palatine made the original investment in the at-retirement advice business from its fourth Buyout Fund and first Impact Fund. It has backed Doncaster-based My Pension Expert since August 2022. Following the exit, My Pension Expert will now be backed by Valeas Capital Partners. Palatine said it supported Doncaster-based My Pension Expert through a four-year period of "strong" organic growth, achieved following "significant" investment in people, technology, data and AI, and supplemented that with mergers & acquisitions (M&A).
