French wealth manager enters UK market with IFA buy

Groupe Allen acquires London-based Altyx

French wealth management firm Groupe Allen has acquired London-based advice firm Altyx Financial Planning, marking its entry into the UK market.

Led by founder and chair Sandrine Genet, Groupe Allen operates the private wealth and family office sector in France, advising about 2,700 families and entrepreneurs with €2bn (£1.7bn) of assets under management from its offices in Paris, Lyon, Toulouse, Montélimar, Brussels and Luxembourg. The French group said this transaction marks a strategic milestone in its European expansion plans while also representing the first time an independent French wealth management firm has established a presence in the UK via acquisition.
