Gets H1 financial planning revenue boost but profit slides

Brooks Macdonald has said it is “reviewing” further financial planning mergers and acquisitions (M&A) opportunities after additions boosted its H1 2026 revenue.

Brooks Macdonald's revenue for the first half of 2026, covering the six months to 31 December, was boosted by financial planning and fee income. Revenue at the group was up 12%, at £58.2m (H1 2025: £51.9m), boosted by higher financial planning income of £13.6m (H1 2025: £5.1m) and higher fee income of £37.8m (H1 2025: £37.1m). The higher financial planning income was boosted by recent acquisitions, Brooks Macdonald noted. It completed its acquisition of Lift, adding £1.6bn in assets, in February 2025, while its purchase of £890m AUA Lucas Fettes was announced in September 2024. The...
