Advisers ramp up research into advice tech as AI firms surge in popularity

Financial advisers increased their engagement with advice technology research during 2025, according to analysis from AdviserSoftware.com and the Financial Technology Research Centre (FTRC).

Data released this week shows the number of technology reviews viewed by advisers rose by 150% over the year, reflecting what AdviserSoftware.com founder Ian McKenna described as an "unprecedented" period of technology exploration across the advice sector. The findings are based on activity from advisers using AdviserSoftware.com's independent technology review service, which assessed visitor behaviour across the platform throughout 2025.
