Cooper Parry Wealth (CPW) has acquired Wimbledon-based independent Chartered financial planning firm Gem & Co (Gem).

Gem was formed by managing director Gareth Rees in 2001 and has a focussed on a client base of professionals and high-net-worth individuals. CPW is part of professional services group Cooper Parry (CP). This is the eighth deal since CP partnered with New York-based private equity firm Lee Equity Partners and pushes its pro forma turnover beyond £250m as the firm moves towards its target of £600m by 2028.  The deal brings CPW's wealth team headcount close to 100, client families to more than 1,050 and funds under management approaching £2bn.
