Advisers buoyant on business prospects as uncertainty fuels client demand

The majority, 85%, of advice business owners are positive about their firm’s prospects as market uncertainty and major tax policy changes fuel client demand, according to data from FE Fundinfo’s latest adviser survey.

The firm's tenth annual survey, which polled more than 100 businesses of varying size, showed 85% of advice firms were confident about the future. This was up from 56% the previous year. Regulatory assessments also contribute to the positive outlook, it added, with more than half of advisers (52%) now viewing the Consumer Duty as having had a "positive impact on their business".
