Octopus CEO: 'Advisers are the GPs of money – but AI will do the heavy lifting'

Financial advisers have been labelled the “GPs of money” but they must embrace artificial intelligence (AI) and radically simplify their client communication if they are to stay relevant.

Speaking today (15 May) at Timeline's Adviser 3.0 2025 conference, Octopus Group founder and CEO Simon Rogerson warned that advisers can no longer afford to resist change as AI reshapes the financial services industry from the ground up. "AI is coming for every single one of us. We're using AI to disrupt financial advice," he said.
