Advice firms to gain integrated compliance tools as Saturn acquires Ateb Suitability

Move brings regulatory expertise in-house to strengthen AI-backed suitability tools for advisers

Artificial intelligence (AI) and data technology partner Saturn, which works with more than 350 financial advice firms, has acquired compliance and paraplanning support provider Ateb Suitability from Thistle Group to “strengthen” adviser-focused reporting and regulatory services.

Ateb Suitability, which will now operate under the name Ateb Insights, said it had supported advice firms through regulatory change, including Retail Distribution Review (RDR) and the Consumer Duty. Its integration into Saturn's platform is intended to give firms access to in-house technical support and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)-compliant templates. Saturn said the deal would allow it to offer more comprehensive tools and content to help advisers meet the FCA's obligations.
