Advertising watchdog upholds complaint against car rental 'investment' firm

Second complaint to be upheld against the business in just over a month

The Advertising Standard Authority (ASA) has upheld a complaint against a firm, named as Rosenthal Capital trading as Ulezprosperity, that advertised investment returns for individuals who bought and then rented out ULEZ-compliant vehicles through it.

It is the second complaint that has been upheld against the business, which last month faced scrutiny over radio ads that aired on LBC in October 2024. In the latest case, one individual complained with challenges upheld on two counts. The complainant had questioned whether the claims were "misleading and could be substantiated", while the ASA challenged whether the ad complied with its financial product advertising code.
