Majority of advice firms assisting clients with protection needs

The majority (84%) of advice firms across the UK offer protection in house, according to The Lang Cat.

The data came from the consultancy's State of the Advice Nation (SOTAN) report, it indicated that protection is by far the most common service offered across advice firms. The Lang Cat also said that 51% of advisers surveyed predicted a marked increase in demand for income protection (IP) and life insurance related products in 2025. Advisers were also confident they could meet this demand, with 92% saying so. Future demand could continue a steady upwards trend for IP.
