WBR Group acquires £403m SSAS book from Standard Life

WBR Group (WBR) has bought Standard Life's small self-administered scheme (SSAS) book of business adding £403m in assets.

The deal, which went through on 1 February, consists of 270 schemes with 246 properties and £403m in assets under administration. WBR said the business had administered the book of business for more than 20 years before taking over.  It explained clients would continue to be managed by the same dedicated team, "ensuring no disruption in service". However, it pointed out that branding would change to reflect the new ownership. Trusteeship will change from Standard Life Trustee Company to WBR Trustees.
