SIPP saga continues - FOS upholds four more complaints against Options Pensions

Complaints continue at what was formerly Carey Pensions

The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) has recently upheld four more complaints against troubled self-invested personal pension (SIPP) provider Carey Pensions – now Options UK Personal Pensions.

All posted on 4 November 2024, each complainant stated that Options UK Personal Pensions should have not accepted their SIPP and investment application from an unregulated third party and claimed they were not warned about investing in high-risk firm Emmit. A recent case The complainant in this case (Ms K) was encouraged by three unregulated firms (Firm A, B and C) to transfer her pension into a SIPP with Options to invest in Emmit through an advisory stockbroker account.
