The wealth manager returns to UK’s large cap index

St James's Place's (SJP) re-entrance into the UK’s large cap index from 20 December has been confirmed.

SJP is set to return to the FTSE 100 following its relegation in June. The firm has faced recent headlines about the ongoing cost saving exercise being carried out across its business, having elected to wind down £1.8bn property funds amid 'challenging period' for property sector and cutting 500 jobs as part of a firm wide restructure. Over the past year, its share price has risen almost 32%, according to LSE data, recovering from a sharp dip in late February.
