Majority of industry considering retention strategy for wealth transfer

‘Most advisers are not sufficiently focused on this area’

Most respondents have a retention strategy in place considering the great wealth transfer, a Professional Adviser poll has shown.

In our latest PA Asks, we asked the industry if they have thought about a retention strategy in light of the great wealth transfer. Results showed that 68% have, 22% have not, and 10% said this is not relevant. One pundit who has thought about it said: "Any adviser worth their salt has always planned on a wider family basis and when we look at number of clients, we often refer to number of families we advise rather than number of individual clients."
