Paraplanners say they feel a disconnect with advisers on what they should be doing, The Lang Cat has found.

Its sixth annual State of the Advice Nation study including 400 members of the advice profession explored paraplanning for the first time. When paraplanner respondents were asked what they see as the main blockers to doing their jobs effectively each day, a disconnect with advisers on what they should be doing was the second most common response for 42% (shown in the graph below).  The leading blocker is provider administration for nearly half of paraplanners (49%).
