Fintel expands adviser reach with VouchedFor and AKG acquisitions

Defaqto and SimplyBiz parent company Fintel has completed the acquisitions of VouchedFor and AKG as it “continues the expansion” of its platform.

The acquisitions are expected to broaden Fintel's services to the advice market through its technology and regulatory services platform. The acquisition of review site VouchedFor, which was part debt funded with a net upfront cash consideration of £7.5m, of which £6.5m was drawn from the group's £80m revolving credit facility, will help provide "increased growth opportunities" for Fintel's customers.
