MPS performance is 'more important than ever' for advisers

More emphasis is also being placed on brand and reputation

The importance of model portfolio service (MPS) performance is “more important than ever”, according to RSMR’s annual adviser survey.

The survey conducted for RSMR by Research in Finance including 169 investment advisers as respondents, revealed that the importance of MPS performance is at its highest level since the survey began three years ago. The most often selected key features of a good provider of managed portfolio cited by respondents was performance at 83%, followed by charges at 79% and availability on platform(s) at 69%.
