MWA receives private equity backing from Coniston Capital

The private equity house has agreed to take a minority stake in the advice firm

Private equity firm Coniston Capital is to take a minority stake in advice firm MWA Financial.

The independently owned private equity house has agreed to take the minority stake in exchange for an injection of growth capital that should increase MWA's acquisition power. With five acquisitions completed in the last two years, London-based MWA Financial three more deals in the pipeline that it anticipates will take its assets under advice above £1bn by the summer of 2024.
