PE-backed Skerritts acquires Kent-based IFA adding £62m in assets

Seventh deal since Sovereign Capital Partners £55m backing

Skerritts Group has bought Kent-based financial planner Ambrose Fisher in a deal that adds £62m in assets under management.

The deal is the Chartered IFA and wealth manager's seventh since it received £55m in investment from Sovereign Capital Partners, a private equity buy and build specialist, in March 2021. The Ambrose Fisher deal will, it said, expand its presence in the South East of England. Previous deals have included businesses in Kent, Hampshire and London. Skerritts said its PE-backed would enable it to expand through both organic and acquisitive growth - prior to Sovereign's investment it had made nine acquisitions.
