The Pensions Ombudsman investigates internal cyber incident

Ombudsman confirms it is co-operating with relevant authorities on cyber incident

The Pensions Ombudsman (TPO) has reported it is currently investigating a cyber incident.

The ombudsman has issued a statement to confirm it is working with the relevant authorities, including the National Cyber Security Centre to deal with this incident. TPO confirmed as a precaution, it has disabled some of its IT systems including application forms and live chat. It also announced more information will be shared once it is available.  TPO told PA's sister title Professional Pensions that it had nothing to add beyond the statement at this point but said that more information would be shared once it is available.
