Leeds advice firm with multiple names declared in default by the FSCS

The in-default WGL Altrincham has traded under multiple names

Leeds-based advice firm WGL Altrincham has been declared in default by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).

In a note today (21 February) regarding the firm's failure, the FSCS said the business had also traded under the names ‘Whitehead Group' and ‘Whitehead & Partners'. The FCA register records for the firm show its trading authorisation for regulated activities was removed in January 2014 and that it went into liquidation 12 months ago.
