Pensions Dashboard Week: Data security critical to rollout

Failure to maintain data security could harm member engagement

Pension schemes and their administrators have been urged to ensure they have sufficient data security ahead of the launch of the pensions dashboards project.

Speaking yesterday (4 October) on a Bravura webinar, KGC Associates director Lesley Carline identified data, implementation and resources as the three areas of concern ahead of the dashboard rollout, which is set to begin next year. Carline highlighted a recent report from Bravura and KGC Associates, which found data security is a key concern for scheme administrators ahead of the rollout of the dashboards. She said: "As an industry, our purpose is to deliver good member outcomes, and to do that it begins and ends with data." She added the security of data was a top concern for scheme...
