At the end of last year and in early 2022, any major stock indices were trading around all-time highs, but since the start of the Ukraine crisis, there has been a 15 to 20% correction and the equity market is currently experiencing some significant headwinds.

Speaking at the latest in Professional Adviser's series of Working Lunches, Ben James, US equity investment specialist at Baillie Gifford, emphasised the firm's core investment beliefs in times of uncertainty and challenge. James, who joined the firm in 2015, said Baillie Gifford's US equity growth team's approach was fundamentally about asymmetry and longevity.
