'No other platform can service all aspects of client relationships' - Mackay on AJ Bell's mobile platform

The appetite for AJ Bell’s new app-based platform Touch, offering an entirely digital service model for clients, might have been questioned before but the pandemic has firmly established peoples' reliance on virtual interactions, says Billy Mackay, MD of AJ Bell’s adviser platform Investcentre.

The app is built on the premise of all-digital proposition, which will allow advisers to virtually interact with clients on all aspects of the process including making investment recommendations, having that investment recommendation approved, and having the audit trail of those decisions all carried within the app, Mackay told Professional Adviser. "I use the example of my 75-year-old mother-in-law who will go nowhere without her iPad," he said.
