Following his Autumn Statement 2021, Rishi Sunak is expected to deliver an update on the health of the UK economy and public finances in a Spring Statement next week, on 23 March at noon.

All eyes are on the Chancellor who is facing intense pressure to help struggling families in this month's statement by easing the cost of living crisis, which has been intensified by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Sunak has already announced some targeted support to help ease household finances, such as the energy bills and council tax rebate package.
