Link warns Woodford Equity Income investors wind up may enter third year

NAV update shifted to quarterly

Link Fund Solutions has warned investors in the former Woodford Equity Income fund that the wind-up of its assets may well outlast 2022, taking the process well into its third year.

Writing to investors in the now-titled LF Equity Income fund, managing director Karl Midl explained that "due to the nature of the fund's remaining assets and our commitment to achieving the best outcome for investors it is possible that the wind up of the Fund may not be completed by the end of 2022". With the closure of the fund first announced in October 2019, this will take the delay for investors receiving a portion of their money back into a third year.
