Interest in inflation protection nudges up

Q2 2025 heralded a notable increase in advisers researching capital accumulation-focused investment strategies, a report by Square Mile has found.

Square Mile's quarterly Market Intelligence Report found that capital accumulation had a 42.6% share of research carried out via the Square Mile Academy of Funds, overtaking income-related searches at 37.0%. The report also showed a rise in funds that might offer inflation protection, up from 3.8% in Q1 to 5.6% in Q2. Despite the hike, funds offering protection from inflation remained the least researched outcome. The hike remains a "nascent" trend, Square Mile noted.
