Employees need more finance help amid pension interest

More conscious of saving

Two-in-five (41%) employers are not offering any support to help their employees understand their finances, despite a specific uptick in interest around pensions, Wealth at Work has claimed.

The financial education provider's 2021 Financial Wellbeing Survey surveyed more than 1,000 pensions savers in May and June this year, where half (51%) said the pandemic had made them more conscious of the need to save. A fifth (22%) said it made them realise they need to improve their understanding of how best to save money, and 14% said it made them think about saving more into pensions.
