MWA Financial renews acquisition drive with Hampshire firm purchase

Assets increase to £300m

MWA Financial has acquired Prosperity Financial Advisors & Stockbrokers, renewing its acquisition drive to become a national IFA.

The acquisition of the Hampshire-based firm takes MWA's assets under influence to £300m. The deal adds a team of 8-10 advisers to MWA, taking its total adviser headcount to 15.  Prosperity, which said it had offers from 10 other companies, will keep its branding and co-founders Mark Newman and Jasper de Zoeten will remain in their roles until the transition is complete. A spokesperson for MWA said it would remain active in the business for the foreseeable future, helping with the transition and future development of the venture.
