Organisers of the annual Schroders UK Platform Awards have postponed the event due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The organisers of the awards said they have delayed the awards until it is "absolutely safe" to proceed.
As a result, submissions will be extended by a month and the judging will be delayed by two months until November. The awards dinner and ceremony will go ahead "as soon as possible", the organisers added.
They said the decision would be based on: the government's rules and advice on such events; the host hotel's ability to hold an event in line with expectations; the willingness of guests to attend.
UK Platform Awards chair Clive Waller added: " It would be wonderful if these conditions can be met by December or January. We just do not know. If the worst happens and the virus stays with us much beyond the winter we will hold a virtual event in respect of 2020 and the 2021 event will go ahead as normal."
