FOS forecasts less pension and investment complaints in 2020/21

The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) has forecast less complaints relating to investments and pensions in its 2020/21 financial year.

In its budget and future strategy consultation, released this afternoon (16 December), the FOS set out the number of complaints it expected to receive and resolve in the upcoming financial year. It said it expected to receive 245,000 complaints in 2020/2021, 145,000 of which would relate to services and products not related to payment protection insurance (PPI). In 2020/21, it said it expected to resolve 290,000 complaints in total.
