Clever Adviser launches PROD guide

Investment outsourcing firm Clever Adviser has launched a guide on PROD to help financial advisers design the most appropriate solutions for their clients.

The free Clever PROD Guide offered guidelines on how to implement product intervention and product governance sourcebook (PROD) rules, including the importance of how to document all stages in the advice process. PROD was introduced alongside the second iteration of MiFID II in January last year by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The regulation requires advisers to evaluate each component in the value chain to ensure the cost and service is appropriate for the intended client segment.
