Quilter Investors has today (26 June) launched the Monthly Income and Monthly Income & Growth portfolios, which will be managed by Helen Bradshaw.
The Monthly Income and Monthly Income & Growth portfolios will take a risk-targeted approach and will aim to achieve a first quartile yield.
The mandates will be available in both accumulation and income share classes. Income payments will be distributed monthly and a smoothing mechanism will be applied to provide clients with increased certainty over the expected level of regular income.
They are both geared towards clients with a need for a regular income solution and for those seeking to benefit from compound growth through re-investing their income.
A 'founder' share class with a Fixed Ongoing Charge (FOC) of 0.6% will be available for the first six months on Quilter's Old Mutual Wealth and Old Mutual International platforms.
Portfolio manager Bradshaw will use a broad range of underlying investment instruments such as active managers, smart beta, passive strategies, investment trusts and alternative funds to build the multi-asset portfolios.
Bradshaw commented: "Building and designing these portfolios has been a huge privilege and it is really exciting to now be opening them up to investors.
"The search for income continues to be a challenge for investors and while the UK's domestic index currently offers an attractive dividend yield, it is highly dependent on a relatively narrow range of stocks.
"Elsewhere, many markets are experiencing depressed equity dividends, and fixed income markets no longer deliver the kind of reliable returns they once offered. That makes the search for stable yields an intricate challenge and it is really important to me that we explore a broad investment universe that encompasses a variety of global regions and asset classes."
Quilter Investors' COO Dean Bowden added: "Launching the first new investment solution as Quilter Investors is an exciting milestone for the business. Developing the Monthly Income and Monthly Income and Growth Portfolios with input from the adviser community has allowed us to build a solution tailored specifically around the needs of the client.
"By delivering a smoothed monthly income solution through a risk-targeted investment strategy, we believe the portfolios represent an attractive proposition."
Quilter Investors, formerly part of Old Mutual Global Investors, announced its intention to expand its offering of multi-asset solutions in May.
