Woodford says 'no' to waiving fee on suspended Equity Income fund

Woodford Investment Management has refused to waive the fee on its suspended flagship fund.

Hargreaves Lansdown has been in talks with Woodford IM regarding the suspended Equity Income fund, for which the platform waived the fees on 5 June following its gating. A spokesperson from Hargreaves Lansdown said: "We spoke to Neil Woodford and his team and urged them strongly to join us in waiving the fee. We said it was the right thing to do but Woodford said 'no'." As a result of this, investors in the flagship fund will continue to pay the annual management fee of 0.75% per year when the fund is bought through most investment platforms.  Chair of the Treasury Committee Nicky ...
