Ex-Sesame boss's DFM signs to major platforms

New discretionary fund management (DFM) service Alpha Beta Partners has signed up to the Aegon, Aviva, Standard Life and Zurich platforms.

The DFM, which was set up in June by former Sesame chief executive George Higginson, said it expected to sign up to more platforms in the near future. Alpha Beta Partners MD Higginson said: "One of our key selling points is to be available on platforms advisers are already using, so they don't have to transfer out to access the DFM service. "Another vital factor is that our DFM allows an adviser or firm to have a centralised investment process, without having to change platform strategy - especially if they have a number of advisers with different legacy platform usage."
