FCA to hold UK-wide DB workshops this autumn

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is to hold interactive workshops across the UK this autumn for firms that are qualified to give defined benefit (DB) transfer advice.

The regulator said the workshops would highlight the key points firms need to consider when operating in the DB transfer market, as well as reiterating its expectations when it comes to carrying out this sort of business. The workshops will also be used to highlight its updated rules and guidance, the FCA has said, and will include an interactive case study to put into practice its expectations.
