Tilney appoints new head of financial planning

Wealth management group Tilney has appointed Andy Grant as head of financial planning, where he will be responsible for leading the firm's advice business and executing its growth strategy.

Grant (pictured) has replaced Andy Cowan, who has retired after 23 years at the company and 40 years in the industry.   Tilney's financial planning business comprises 208 client-facing financial planners who operate from 30 office locations across the UK. Grant has joined Tilney from the British Business Bank where he served as chief operating officer (COO). Before that, he was COO of Royal London.
