MP praises Operation CHIVE advisers in parliament

Hopes to attract cross-party support

Liberal Democrat MP for Eastbourne and Willingdon Stephen Lloyd has tabled an Early Day Motion in the House of Commons thanking the financial advisers behind Operation CHIVE.

CHIVE, short for ‘Counselling Help Information Volunteer Exchange', is a pro-bono initiative that offered guidance to British Steelworkers who had been affected by poor pension advice given by unscrupulous advisers.  Lloyd's motion asked the House of Commons to "thank the group of financial advisers who travelled from across the country to give their time and knowledge freely to the steelworkers of Port Talbot to help avoid pension mis-selling".
