Artemis hires Jasper Berens as Dick Turpin announces retirement

Artemis has announced the hire of Jasper Berens as head of distribution, replacing Dick Turpin who will be retiring at the end of the year.

Berens left his post as head of UK funds at J.P. Morgan Asset Management in February "to pursue other opportunities" after working at the group for 20 years. He will join Artemis in October taking over from Turpin, who is head of asset gathering, ahead of his retirement at the end of the year. Turpin started his City career over 25 years ago working successively for Merrill Lynch, Aetna and Barings. He moved to ABN Amro Asset Management in March 1998 and became managing director of ABN Amro Fund Managers, which became part of Artemis in September 2002. He is also a partner and a me...
