PFS honours Mike Morrison with lifetime achievement award

The Personal Finance Society (PFS) honoured pensions legend Mike Morrison with its lifetime achievement award at its annual award evening at the Camden Roundhouse on Wednesday evening, which AJ Bell's Tom Selby received on his family's behalf.

Morrison, who died earlier this month at the age of 55, was a regular press commentator and a veteran of the adviser seminar circuit, speaking to hundreds of advisers every year via AJ Bell's ‘On the road' adviser roadshow. He started his career at Provident Life, which later became Winterthur and then Axa Wealth, in 1990 before leaving for AJ Bell in 2012. Morrison was also an influential committee member and chairman at the industry trade body Association of Member-directed Pension Schemes.
