Professional Adviser's investment detective Matt Morris delivers his verdict on six developments in the investment and pensions arenas that have caught his eye over the last month

Hard Cash According to the latest UK investor sentiment index from Lloyds Bank, overall sentiment across 11 asset classes rose in October, despite the prominent geopolitical distractions. Cash saw the biggest rise in popularity, dwarfing the second biggest increase in sentiment - in emerging market shares. The move into cash suggests investors are looking for more ‘safe havens' in the face of perceived geopolitical uncertainty both at home and abroad. Gold continued to attract the highest overall sentiment with a rating of 44.39% (Lloyds considers anything near or above 40% to be extreme)...
