MiFID checklist: 10 ways advisers should prepare for the incoming legislation

Nucleus and compliance expert Phil Young have launched a report on the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II (MiFID II), and are offering advisers a list of 10 things they should do in order to prepare for the incoming legislation

MiFID II comes into effect on 3 January 2018 - in just more than 10 weeks' time - and although Zero Support managing partner Phil Young said there are still some questions to be answered by the regulator, he urged advisers to get their compliance in order as soon as possible. "What advisers must first assess, and is perhaps most important on their road to MiFID compliance, is what impact this will have on your clients and how you deal with them," he said.
