Skerritts' Merricks to co-manage 8AM Global Focused fund with McGrath

Will continue in his role at Skerritts

Andy Merricks, head of investments at Skerritts Wealth Management, has been appointed co-manager of the 8AM Global Focused fund alongside existing manager Tom McGrath, who has run the fund since January 2015.

At the same time, Merricks will continue in his role as head of investments at Skerritts Wealth Management, which he has held since 2004. The £2.9m fund will maintain its objective of aiming to deliver long-term growth through a concentrated portfolio by focusing on a select number of themes such as robotics. Merricks said: "It makes sense to invest in themes that are here to stay for the next few years at least.
