Fairstone acquires Lancashire adviser

Fairstone has completed its acquisition of Lancashire-based McParland and Partners for an undisclosed fee, adding £1.8m to its revenue stream.

McParland and Partners is based in Nelson, Lancashire and operates satellite offices in both Manchester and Sheffield.  The aquisition will see Fairstone bolster its presence in the Northern region after buying Yorkshire-based Lofthouse Gate in January. The firm will add £160m of funds under management to Fairstone along with eight advisers, 15 support staff and 2000 clients. The deal was completed through Fairstone's downstream buyout model, which sees it take a minority stake in a firm and integrating it over a number of years before finally completing the acquisition.
